At SJT Training, we’re more than just a Registered Training Organisation — we’re a proudly Indigenous-owned, community-driven provider dedicated to equipping people with real-world skills that open doors to lasting careers.
We specialise in civil construction and heavy plant and machinery training, delivering practical, on-site instruction that goes far beyond theory. Our training is designed to build capability and confidence so individuals are fully prepared to succeed in high-demand industries like civil construction, mining, and extraction.
OUR STORY
Founded by James Sing, a proud Territorian with over 15 years of experience in civil construction and more than a decade in public service, SJT Training was born from a simple but pressing observation: too many operators had the qualifications but lacked the real-world skills needed to succeed on the job.
James, along with his wife Stacey and daughter Tiayana, built SJT Training as a family-run business to close this gap — creating a space where training is practical, grounded, and tailored to the demands of modern worksites.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to empower individuals through high-quality, culturally sensitive training that enhances employability, supports career growth, and strengthens our local workforce. We’re committed to ensuring that every trainee leaves with not just a qualification, but the capability and confidence to succeed on-site.
OUR VISION
To be a leading force in transforming skills and opportunities across the Northern Territory — raising industry standards while fostering sustainable growth and success for generations to come.
